My dad signed a contract for water heater at the door in January 8th 2018 and today I got a bill for tankless water heater. The saleperson said the amount for monthly payment will be covered by a credit which is not true. He claimed the water heater is old and if anything happened to the reliance old water heater they will not able to fix it.

I stopped payment right away with this company. I notified them within a year as per Consumer Protection. When I signed the contract there was no info on the equipment. However, they did it the moment you signed the contract And they sold your contract to UtilEbill...so they have the lien or NOSI on your property.
